ASICS GEL-Kayano 5 360 Shoe - Men's Running

The GEL-KAYANO 5 OG Retro Tokyo running shoe pays homage to the upcoming celebration in Tokyo, while commemorating the spirit of the ASICS heritage and our Japanese roots. This heritage running shoe from 1999 returns with its original construction. After an initial sketch on paper, designer Toshikazu Kayano was quick to point out that the upper mirrored the human anatomy's bone structuring, organs and muscles. Formed with a mesh and suede construction, this shoe introduced two crucial improvements to the shoe's lineage - the teardrop tongue and Quadra lacing system, which create an improved fit with better midfoot support. The GEL-KAYANO 5 OG Retro Tokyo running shoe is injected with an enlarged GEL technology based cushioning pocket in the heel for pronounced comfort, while the layered application of componentry has become the foundation that still influences the shoe's design today.
