Kaila Charles is a professional basketball player born on June 21, 1998, in Glenn Dale, Maryland. She attended Riverdale Baptist School and played college basketball at the University of Maryland, where she was a key player on the team that won the Big Ten Conference championship in 2019.

Charles was selected by the Connecticut Sun with the 23rd overall pick in the 2020 WNBA draft. She played for the Sun for two seasons before being traded to the Seattle Storm in February 2022.

Charles currently plays for the Seattle Storm as a guard/forward. She has quickly made an impact on the team, providing scoring and defensive prowess off the bench. In her rookie season, she averaged 6.4 points and 2.4 rebounds per game, and in her second season, she averaged 6.7 points and 2.9 rebounds per game.

Charles is known for her athleticism and ability to get to the rim, as well as her solid defensive skills. She continues to refine her game and is expected to be a valuable asset for the Seattle Storm for years to come.
