Lauri Markkanen

Lauri Markkanen is a Finnish professional basketball player born on May 22, 1997, in Jyväskylä, Finland. He currently plays as a small forward for the Utah Jazz of the National Basketball Association (NBA).

Markkanen played college basketball for one season at the University of Arizona before declaring for the NBA draft in 2017. He was selected as the seventh overall pick by the Chicago Bulls and played for them for four seasons.

In September 2021, Markkanen was traded to the Cleveland Cavaliers as part of a three-team trade. However, he was later traded again to the Utah Jazz in September 2022.

Markkanen is known for his impressive shooting ability, especially from beyond the arc. He has also shown potential as a rebounder and scorer in the NBA.
