Robert Williams III is an American professional basketball player born on October 17, 1997, in Shreveport, Louisiana. He plays as a center for the Boston Celtics of the National Basketball Association (NBA).
Williams played college basketball at Texas A&M before being selected by the Boston Celtics as the 27th overall pick in the 2018 NBA draft. He has since established himself as a valuable player for the team, known for his athleticism, shot-blocking ability, and rebounding skills.
In the 2020-2021 NBA season, Williams had a breakout performance, averaging 8.0 points, 6.9 rebounds, and 1.8 blocks per game. He also set a career-high in blocks in a single game, with eight.
