Where Is Kendall Wright From?
Kendall Wright is a former American football wide receiver who played for several teams in the National Football League (NFL), including the Tennessee Titans, Arizona Cardinals, and Chicago Bears. Wright was born on November 12, 1989, in Mount Pleasant, Texas, and grew up in the nearby city of Pittsburg. Wright's athletic abilities were apparent from an early age, and he quickly became a standout athlete in multiple sports, including football, basketball, and track.
In high school, Wright attended Pittsburg High School, where he was a three-sport athlete. He was a force to be reckoned with on the football field, earning All-state honors in football, basketball, and track. As a quarterback and cornerback, he received second-team Class 3A All-State honors from the Texas Sports Writers Association and honorable mention by the Associated Press at both positions as a junior and senior.
Wright's outstanding performances on the field did not go unnoticed, and he was recruited to play college football for the Baylor Bears. During his time at Baylor, Wright continued to impress with his athletic abilities, becoming one of the top receivers in college football. In his senior season, Wright played in all 13 games and had 108 receptions for 1,633 yards with 14 touchdowns. His impressive performance led him to be named a First-Team All-American and All-Big 12.
Following his college career, Wright was selected by the Tennessee Titans in the first round of the 2012 NFL Draft. He spent five seasons with the Titans, where he set several career highs. In 2013, he had 94 receptions and 1,079 yards, and in 2014, he scored six touchdowns. Wright continued his career with the Arizona Cardinals and Chicago Bears before ultimately retiring from the NFL in 2019.
