Dennis Smith Jr.

Dennis Smith Jr. is an American professional basketball player born on November 25, 1997, in Fayetteville, North Carolina. He currently plays as a point guard for the Charlotte Hornets of the National Basketball Association (NBA).

Smith played college basketball for one season at North Carolina State University before declaring for the NBA draft in 2017. He was selected as the ninth overall pick by the Dallas Mavericks and played for them for two seasons before being traded to the New York Knicks in 2019.

In September 2022, Smith signed a contract with the Charlotte Hornets for the upcoming NBA season. He is known for his athleticism and ability to score both inside and outside the paint.

Throughout his career, Smith has been recognized for his impressive skills on the court, including being named to the NBA All-Rookie Second Team in 2018. He continues to be a promising young talent in the NBA and will be a valuable addition to the Charlotte Hornets.
