Sabonis is the son of Arvydas Sabonis, a former professional basketball player who is widely regarded as one of the greatest European players of all time. Arvydas had a successful career both in Europe and the NBA, playing for teams such as the Portland Trail Blazers and the Real Madrid basketball team. He was known for his impressive size and strength, as well as his skilled passing and shooting ability. After retiring, he was inducted into the Basketball Hall of Fame. 

In addition to his father, Sabonis also has a mother named Ingrida Mikelionyte. While she is not as well-known in the basketball world as her husband, Ingrida has been supportive of her son's career and has been seen attending many of his games.

Together, Arvydas and Ingrida have raised a talented and successful son in Domantas Sabonis. With his family's support and guidance, Sabonis has become one of the top players in the NBA today.
