Jarrett Allen is an American professional basketball player born on April 21, 1998, in Austin, Texas. He plays as a center for the Cleveland Cavaliers of the National Basketball Association (NBA).
Allen played college basketball for one season at the University of Texas before being selected 22nd overall by the Brooklyn Nets in the 2017 NBA draft. He played for the Nets for three and a half seasons before being traded to the Cleveland Cavaliers in 2021.
Throughout his career, Allen has established himself as a solid defender and rebounder. He is also known for his impressive athleticism, which has resulted in many highlight-reel dunks.
Off the court, Allen has been involved in several charitable organizations, including the Read with Jarrett program, which focuses on improving literacy among children.
