Jimmy Butler is an American professional basketball player born on September 14, 1989, in Houston, Texas. He currently plays as a shooting guard and small forward for the Miami Heat of the National Basketball Association (NBA).
Butler played college basketball at Marquette University before being selected as the 30th overall pick by the Chicago Bulls in the 2011 NBA draft. He has since played for several other NBA teams, including the Minnesota Timberwolves and the Philadelphia 76ers.
Throughout his NBA career, Butler has been named to the All-Star team five times and has earned multiple All-NBA and All-Defensive team honors. He is known for his strong work ethic, defensive prowess, and clutch performances in important games.
