Jrue Holiday is an American professional basketball player born on June 12, 1990, in Los Angeles, California. He currently plays as a point guard for the Milwaukee Bucks of the National Basketball Association (NBA).
Holiday played college basketball for one season at UCLA before declaring for the NBA draft in 2009. He was selected by the Philadelphia 76ers as the 17th overall pick in the draft and later played for the New Orleans Pelicans before joining the Milwaukee Bucks in 2020.
Throughout his career, Holiday has been recognized for his defensive skills and leadership on the court. He has been named to the NBA All-Defensive Team twice and was a key player in the Milwaukee Bucks' championship-winning season in 2021.
Off the court, Holiday is known for his philanthropy and community work. He and his wife, former professional soccer player Lauren Cheney Holiday, founded the Jrue and Lauren Holiday Foundation, which supports initiatives for social justice, health care, and education.
