Kyrie Irving is an American professional basketball player born on March 23, 1992, in Melbourne, Australia. He currently plays as a point guard for the Dallas Mavericks of the National Basketball Association (NBA).
Irving played one year of college basketball at Duke University before being selected as the first overall pick in the 2011 NBA draft by the Cleveland Cavaliers. He played for the Cavaliers for six seasons before joining the Boston Celtics and then the Brooklyn Nets.
Throughout his career, Irving has been a six-time NBA All-Star, an Olympic gold medalist, and an NBA champion. He is known for his exceptional ball-handling skills, scoring ability, and clutch performances in high-pressure situations.
In 2023, Irving was traded to the Dallas Mavericks. He continues to be a key player in the NBA and is considered one of the best point guards in the league.
