Where Did Mac McClung Play College Basketball?
As we all know, college basketball is where many of the world's most famous and talented basketball players got their start. Mac McClung is no exception. He played for Georgetown from 2018 to 2020. During his time at Georgetown, McClung was a standout player, with an average of 13.1 points, 2.6 rebounds, and two assists per game. He was named to the Big East All-Freshman Team and led Big East Conference freshmen in scoring.
After two years at Georgetown, McClung decided to transfer to Texas Tech. He was granted a waiver for immediate eligibility in 2020 and made his Texas Tech debut on November 25, 2020, scoring 20 points in a 101-58 win against Northwestern State. McClung continued to impress during his time at Texas Tech, with an average of 15.5 points, 2.7 rebounds, and 2.1 assists per game.
As McClung's skills continued to develop, he made the decision to enter the transfer portal again in April 2021 while simultaneously declaring for the 2021 NBA draft. In May 2021, McClung confirmed via Twitter that he would remain in the draft and forgo his remaining college eligibility.
