Russell Westbrook is an American professional basketball player born on November 12, 1988, in Long Beach, California. He plays as a point guard for the Los Angeles Clippers of the National Basketball Association (NBA).
Westbrook began his NBA career in 2008 after being selected fourth overall by the Seattle SuperSonics, who later became the Oklahoma City Thunder. He played for the Thunder for 11 seasons before being traded to the Houston Rockets in 2019, and then to the Washington Wizards in 2020. In 2023, he signed with the LA Clippers as a free agent.
Throughout his career, Westbrook has been recognized as one of the top point guards in the league. He is a nine-time NBA All-Star and has earned multiple All-NBA Team selections. Westbrook is known for his athleticism, speed, and ability to score, rebound, and assist.
