Taylor Hall, the talented NHL left wing, was born in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. His parents are Steve Hall and Kim Strba. Steve Hall was a former Canadian Football League (CFL) player for the Winnipeg Blue Bombers, Toronto Argonauts, and Ottawa Rough Riders in the mid-1980s, and later, he became a member of the Canadian national bobsleigh team. Kim Strba introduced Taylor to organized hockey at the age of five, and his father maintained a backyard rink every winter, where Taylor and his friends practiced relentlessly.

The family moved to Kingston, Ontario, in 2005, where Taylor attended high school at Frontenac Secondary School. Later on, he went to St. Anne's Catholic High School in Tecumseh, Ontario, while playing for the Windsor Spitfires. Taylor's parents were supportive of his athletic endeavors, and encouraged him to participate in other sports, such as golf and tennis.

Taylor's parents have undoubtedly played a significant role in his life, both on and off the ice. Their support and encouragement have helped him become the successful athlete he is today.
