Where Is Kolby Allard From?
Kolby Allard is a professional baseball player who currently plays for the Atlanta Braves - many fans are curious about his origins and where he came from. As it turns out, Allard was born in the city of Anaheim, California.
Growing up in Anaheim, Allard was surrounded by a rich baseball culture. He attended San Clemente High School, where he quickly made a name for himself as a standout player on the school's baseball team. As a junior, he posted an impressive 1.32 earned run average with 98 strikeouts in just over 62 innings pitched.
After his junior season, Allard was named MVP of the Perfect Game All-American Classic after striking out the side in the inning he pitched. Later that summer, he played for the USA Baseball 18U National Team, showcasing his skills against some of the best young players in the country.
Despite a stress fracture in his back that ended his senior season prematurely, Allard was still projected to be a top-10 pick in the 2015 MLB Draft. He committed to playing college baseball for the UCLA Bruins, but instead chose to go straight to professional baseball after being drafted 14th overall by the Atlanta Braves.
Since his major league debut with the Braves in 2018, Allard has played for both the Texas Rangers and the Braves. Despite his travels, however, Allard remains a California kid at heart. Fans of Allard and baseball alike can appreciate the talent and dedication that brought him to where he is today.
