Al Horford is a Dominican professional basketball player born on June 3, 1986, in Puerto Plata, Dominican Republic. He plays as a center/power forward for the Boston Celtics of the National Basketball Association (NBA).

Horford played college basketball for the University of Florida before being selected third overall in the 2007 NBA draft by the Atlanta Hawks. He played for the Hawks for nine seasons before signing with the Boston Celtics in 2016. Horford then played for the Philadelphia 76ers before returning to the Celtics in 2021.

Throughout his career, Horford has been recognized as one of the top centers in the league. He is a five-time NBA All-Star and has earned multiple All-NBA Team selections. Horford is known for his versatile skill set, including his ability to shoot from outside and his strong defense.
