Drew Doughty is a Canadian professional ice hockey player born on December 8, 1989, in London, Ontario. He currently plays for the Los Angeles Kings of the National Hockey League (NHL).
Doughty began his junior hockey career in the Ontario Hockey League (OHL) with the Guelph Storm before being drafted second overall by the Kings in the 2008 NHL Entry Draft. He made his NHL debut with the Kings later that year and quickly established himself as a top defenseman in the league, known for his offensive and defensive abilities.
Throughout his career, Doughty has been a key player on the Kings, helping the team win two Stanley Cup championships in 2012 and 2014. He has been named to the NHL All-Star Game multiple times and has won numerous awards, including the Norris Trophy as the NHL's best defenseman in 2016.
Off the ice, Doughty is involved in various charitable endeavors, including working with the Children's Hospital Los Angeles and supporting animal welfare organizations. He enjoys golfing and spending time with his family and friends in his free time.
