Lionel Messi

Lionel Andrés Messi, born June 24, 1987, in Argentina, is a professional footballer who plays as a forward for Paris Saint-Germain and the Argentina national team. Widely regarded as one of the greatest players of all time, Messi has won a record seven Ballon d'Or awards and is the all-time top scorer for Barcelona, with whom he won a club-record 35 trophies. In addition to his club success, Messi has also achieved international success with Argentina, winning the 2021 Copa América and the 2022 FIFA World Cup, where he was awarded the Golden Ball as the best player in the tournament. A prolific goalscorer and creative playmaker, Messi holds numerous records including most goals in La Liga and the UEFA Champions League. He has scored over 750 senior career goals for club and country and is the all-time leading goalscorer for Argentina.
