Dylan Cease is a professional baseball player born on December 28, 1995, in Milton, Georgia. He attended Milton High School where he excelled in baseball and was drafted by the Chicago Cubs in the 6th round of the 2014 MLB draft.
Cease worked his way up through the minor league system and made his major league debut with the Cubs on July 26, 2019. He was traded to the Chicago White Sox on July 13, 2017, as part of a trade for pitcher Jose Quintana.
Cease currently plays for the Chicago White Sox as a starting pitcher. He has shown great potential and has become an important part of the team's rotation. In his first full season in the majors in 2020, Cease went 5-4 with a 4.01 ERA and 44 strikeouts in 58.1 innings pitched.
Cease is known for his fastball that can reach 100 miles per hour and his slider that has a sharp break. He continues to improve his command and develop his other pitches, making him a promising player for the White Sox.
