Porzingis began his professional career in 2012 with the Spanish team Sevilla. He played for the team's youth ranks and worked his way up to become the main player for the senior team. In 2015, Porzingis won the EuroCup Basketball Rising Star award, becoming the youngest ever recipient of the award at just 19 years old.
