James Harden was born on August 26, 1989, in Los Angeles, California. He played college basketball for Arizona State University, where he was named first-team All-American and Pac-10 Player of the Year. James was selected third overall in the 2009 NBA draft by the Oklahoma City Thunder.
In 2012, James was named the Sixth Man of the Year and helped the Thunder reach the NBA Finals. He was then traded to the Houston Rockets in 2013. James became one of the league's most dominant players in recent history, earning MVP honors in 2018 and leading the Rockets to the playoffs in each of his six seasons with the team. In 2020, he was traded to the Brooklyn Nets. In 2021 he was traded to the 76ers, and in 2022 he re-signed with the Sixers on a 2-year, $68.6 million deal.
