Joel Embiid

Joel Hans Embiid was born on March 16, 1994, in Yaoundé, Cameroon. He began his basketball career in high school and moved to the United States to play basketball for the Kansas Jayhawks. After one year of college basketball, he was drafted third overall by the Philadelphia 76ers in the 2014 NBA draft. Injuries delayed his debut for two seasons until 2016-17 when he was named to the NBA All-Rookie First Team. He is a five-time NBA All-Star and a three-time member of the All-Defensive Team. Known as "the Process" by fans, he led the NBA in scoring during the 2021-22 season and is considered one of the top basketball players of his generation.
