Steph (Wardell Stephen Curry II) was born in Akron, Ohio on March 14, 1988, to Sonya and Dell Curry. Steph played college basketball for the Davidson Wildcats, where he set career scoring records and was twice named conference player of the year. The Golden State Warriors selected Steph with the seventh overall pick in the 2009 NBA draft.
Since then, Steph has been an eight-time NBA All-Star and eight-time All-NBA selection, including four times on the first team. He has also been named the NBA MVP twice. In 2014-2015, Steph led the Warriors to their first championship in over 40 years. The following season, he became the first player in NBA history to be unanimously voted MVP and lead the league in scoring while shooting above 50-40-90. Steph and the Warriors have gone on to win three championships together (2017, 2018, 2022).
