Who Are James Harden's Parents?
Who Are James Harden's Parents?
James Harden is one of the best basketball players in the world, and he has his mother, Monja Willis, to thank for it. Willis worked hard to provide for her son and his two siblings, instilling in him the values he needed to succeed. James was able to escape the violence and drugs in his neighborhood by playing and excelling at basketball - and his mother was there to support him every step of the way.
Even now, as he competes at the highest level in the NBA as an MVP and All-Star, she remains a source of motivation, inspiration, and support. "You never stop being his mom," Willis said. "I retired from the phone company; I haven't retired from being his mom. I'll always be his mom." With a mother like Monja Willis, it's no wonder that James Harden is one of today's greatest basketball players.
James's father, James Sr., struggled with drug addiction and brushes with the law, so Monja had to raise James and his two siblings on her own. In spite of working long hours as a service dispatcher at AT&T, Willis managed to attend almost every game of her son's - from grade school all the way up to his back-to-back state championships as a senior at Artesia High School. It didn't stop when he got drafted into the NBA. She still attends every game she can, cheering her son on from the sidelines!
This mother-son duo proves that with hard work, determination, and love, anything is possible. James Harden's success as a top NBA athlete is a testament to the power of a strong parental figure in a child's life. So let's give Monja Willis the recognition she deserves for her unwavering support and dedication to her son. Without her, James Harden may not be the star he is today.
Thank you, Monja Willis, for showing us that a parent's love and support can truly make all the difference in a child's life. We salute you.
