Donovan Mitchell Scores a Record-Breaking 71 Points!
In a historic NBA performance, Donovan Mitchell scored a Cleveland record 71 points and became just the seventh player in league history to reach the 70-point mark. The Cleveland Cavaliers overcame a 21-point deficit to beat the Chicago Bulls 145-134 in overtime, with Mitchell scoring 13 points in the extra session after tying the game with a circus shot at the end of regulation. The Cleveland Cavaliers guard, who was acquired by the team in the offseason, also had a career-high 11 assists and eight rebounds in 50 minutes. Mitchell's 71 points are the most by an NBA player in 17 years, since Kobe Bryant scored 81 points against Toronto on January 22, 2006.
