The King is back! Lebron James returns from injury and he has the Los Angeles Lakers poised to make the playoffs. James was sidelined for 13 games due to a foot injury. The good news was the Lakers went 8-5 in his absence. After a not so great regular season start, the Lakes are the 7 seed in the West. General manager Rob Pelinka made some savvy moves at the tradeline and acquired a few key players--DeAngelo Russell, Rui Hachimura, Malik Beasley and Jarred Vanderbilt--that solidify the supporting cast around the Lakes mega stars James and Anthony Davis. But James' injury has prevented this team from developing major consistency in preparation for the playoffs. That's why these next two games are important. Lebron James stated: "The one thing we've been lacking a little bit is just the consistency in our lineups. So with these last two games, you definitely want to see if we can figure something out as far as chemistry."You know what really helps chemistry? Good basketball players. In the Lakers' four game win streak at the end of March, Davis averaged 34 points per game. With just him on the court, any team is formidable but if you add James and some strong role players the potential goes through the roof. As a 2 seed, you can't be too excited to face this team in the first round.Lets take a look at Lebron James top 3 plays since returning from injury:

3) Bulls vs Lakers: James' 1st game back: In the fourth quarter, Lakes are down by 14 trying to come back. First of all, it was good to see James still going when he first came back. He has the ball outside the three point line and turns his back on his defender. This is classic James, where he knows he has a size advantage and is very determined to drive his defender back. He does just that. In five dribbles, he plays bully ball, gets in the lane and puts up a beautiful jumper off the backboard -- AND 1! Coach Darvin Ham after the game talked about how the game looked like vintage James with his smooth finishes, nice footwork and strength. Promising start for Lakers nation!

2) Lakers vs Rockets: James' 4th game back: Lakers are now on a two game win streak with James' return. Pick this one up in the 4th quarter, LA up 23 points. James with the ball right inside the three point line. Play calls for some pick and roll action with Austin Reaves and James. Reaves comes off a pick and gets the ball from James who sets a double screen and then rolls to the basket for the alley-oop. The King has been getting sky high for dunks his whole career but in his 20th season it's good to see the dude can get up especially after a major foot injury.

1) Lakers vs Jazz: James' 5th game back: Lakers on a three game win streak that has put them in prime position to make the playoffs. For Laker fans it's been great to see this group come together and fight for playoff positioning. More importantly, it's been great to have James' back and Davis playing well. Pick this one up in overtime, game knotted at 133. Lakers have the ball with just over 30 seconds to play. Play calls for James to be the Hall of Famer everyone knows he is and his teammates just get out of the way. James just inside the three point line gets the ball and immediately drives. Utah defender plays up close and the help defense collapses with the hopes the pressure will get the ball out of James' hands and he'll give it to someone else. James laughs at the notion spins inside and makes a beast move to the basket laying it up and in. That would be the winning score for the Lakers getting a much needed win late in the season.
